Three Things We Unsatisfied with FIFA 17 Demo

FIFA 17 demo does great in graphics, the journey and something else, but there are three things we are unsatisfied with.

1. Penalties

This year, the system, has been changed slightly (we’re not too sure why). There is no longer a power and accuracy bar, which can make getting the ball in back of the net a bit tricky to start with. On the plus side, you can now adjust the angle of the chosen penalty taker – so experiment with a few until you’ve mastered a couple.

2. The ‘Magic’ ball boys

It’s worth stressing at this point that the game is by no means finished, but the demo showed off a rather amusing quirk. If a ball is hit into a crowd, a ball boy will ‘magic’ one up in between their legs and throw it to a nearby player. Given the level of detail on show, it’s almost impossible to un-spot once you’ve seen it.

3. The Journey ended without more information

We have already known that the new story mode will be added to FIFA 17, and we know role Alex Hunter is the person we play as. So in the demo, all these known contents have been showed up. We played enough of The Journey to get hooked, so much so that we’re annoyed we didn’t get to see more. Still, it’s a masterstroke from EA and we’re convinced Alex Hunter’s tale is destined for greatness.

FIFA 17 is released on 27th, September in North America, 29th for the rest of the world across all the platforms.

fifa 17 ea access

FIFA 17 EA Access Trial Limited to Some Game Modes

The cracks are starting to show in EA Access- at least in EA Access’ promise to offer every single EA game available to Xbox One owners pre-launch for ten hours, without restriction. We already learned that Respawn’s Titanfall 2 will be skipping an offering on the service entirely – and now we are learning that FIFA 17 will be fairly limited in its EA Access pre-release incarnation, too.

Unlike the previous few years, where the entire game was offered to players carte blanche, with just the overall 10 hour play time limit applying, players will only get to play Ultimate Team and ‘some’ of The Journey, the single player story career mode, in FIFA 17 on EA Access.

EA have not yet explained why exactly these restrictions exist- while the ones on the Story mode do even make some sense, the restrictions on all other modes do not. In any case, FIFA 17 will be on EA Access starting September 22, ahead of its full launch on September 29. Meanwhile, a FIFA 17 demo independent of the service is going to be available starting tomorrow.

In the meantime, a playable demo featuring Kick Off mode and 12 clubs is due to launch across all formats tomorrow, September 13.

FIFA 17 mobile

FIFA Mobile Gaming App is Coming on Google Play

Before FIFA 17’s global launch on consoles and PC later this month, the company has listed its mobile game FIFA Mobile gaming app on Google Play, though it is not yet available to download in all regions. It seems like the company wants users to see the mobile game as a standalone entity instead of a mobile port of the console game. In last two three years, the mobile game segment for the FIFA series has seen good traction and the company would like for the series to continue on the same path.

FIFA Mobile gaming app is currently listed as ‘Coming Soon’ on Google Play India, with the option to ‘pre-register’ to be notified when the game becomes available in the region. The game is reportedly already available in Russia, where it was probably soft-launched. The Google Play listing also contains several reviews, implying availability in more than one region. EA had announced a launch of the next FIFA mobile game this fall on both Android and iOS, so we can expect the game to hit the App Store soon as well.

According to Electronic Arts, FIFA Mobile features a new Attack Mode, which includes turn-based matches that provide more control to gamers. The company explained:

“Use either attack-heavy, defensive-minded, or a balanced approach in your turn. The tactics you decide to go with determine the formation available for you to use and what your opponent faces off against when it’s their turn. The more you play FIFA Mobile, the more varied tactical line-ups you unlock and can choose from.”

The game also includes live events and daily stories on matches happening worldwide. There are mini-games that give rewards to players and it’s possible to join teams or leagues, as well as take on others in championships. The game includes over 30 leagues, 650 teams and over 17000 players to choose from.

Interestingly, the game has a download size of just around 100MB, compared with an approximate 1.3GB download size for FIFA 16. The game is available for free and requires an Internet connection to be played. The company seems to be trying a completely changed strategy for the mobile game and it will be interesting to see if it eventually finds success.

FIFA 17 ratings of Sanchez and Lloris

FIFA 17’s Player Ratings Claim Lloris is Better than Sanchez

Now we have known FIFA 17’s Top 50 list, released by EA Sports so far and the players ranked 31st and 36th will be of particular interest to fans in North London.

There is no more accurate representation of a footballer’s ability, it could be argued, than his rating on FIFA. It would be wrong, of course, but it could be argued nonetheless.

That is why the release of the 50 players with the best ratings in FIFA 17 was always to be big news.

As you can see below, the 20 players on the 50-31 list include some very big names – the likes of Marco Reus, Sergio Busquets and David Silva all feature.

But the bit that really jumped out at us?

Let’s take a look at Lloris and Sanchez’s FIFA 17 ratings.

Alexis Sanchez – Arsenal – FIFA 17’s 36th best player

FIFA 17 OVR: 87

Full of craft and guile, the Arsenal left winger has the ability to unlock any defense. His 86 Pace will frighten back lines but it is his 88 Dribbling which will mesmerize them.

Hugo Lloris – Tottenham – FIFA 17 31st best player

FIFA 17 OVR: 88

The Spurs goalkeeper remains one of the finest at his position in all of world football. Lloris has 90 Reflexes along with 87 Diving making him a great addition to your squad.

Tips and Tricks to Develop Your FIFA 17 Skills

Most people that play FIFA 17 want to do their best. However, simply desiring to become a good player is not sufficient. Here are some tips and tricks to help you become a better FIFA 17 player.

Different levels of expertise require different levels of footwear. If you are just starting out, choose cleats made from synthetic materials or plastics. However, if you have been playing for a while, metal cleats will suit your skill level more.

Whenever you are forced to pass the FIFA 17 ball, you shouldn’t automatically assume that you will not be needed in the play. Instead, trail the FIFA Ultimate Teammate you passed the ball to in order to find the best position for you to assist him. Good players know when to pass the ball back.

Scan the field for an open player if you find yourself boxed in. This allows several seconds before the opposing FIFA Ultimate Team crosses the field, so the risk of losing control of the ball is lessened.

Make sure your FIFA Ultimate Team mates are on the same sheet of music as you and can anticipate your intentions. By knowing when you are about to act, they can make sure to be in the right place to respond. You might cross the ball in one direction for a couple of plays only to go left on the third try.

If you end up at midfield, keep an eye on what transpires on each end of the field. Remain prepared as a ball can come suddenly at you from your left or right, and you might then need to pass it quickly to the opposite side. You need to be aware of who is open and where defendants are all the time.

A competitive spirit is essential for making the cut on a good FIFA 17 FIFA Ultimate Team. Never give up, be willing to run across the entire field, aid your FIFA Ultimate Teammates, and generally show a good attitude. The coach will be impressed by both your willingness to work together and your mental toughness.

After FIFA 17 practice, spend a little time taking penalty kicks at the goal. This will train your mind to focus in on this penalty kick right after a foul. Learn a few kicks that you can do when you get a penalty kick and keep practicing your kicks until they go the way you want them to go each time.

Now that you know a bit more about being a better player, it is now time to test your skills. Take time to practice and show your fellow players what you’ve learned. If you practice together, the entire FIFA Ultimate Team will get better, and you may possibly win a game.
