FIFA 17 FUT Champions Week 1

FUT Champions is a new mode for FUT 17 is aimed at grabbing the attention of the more competetive FUT players.

You can now compete in daily knockout tournaments which along with bringing their own rewards, will earn you entry into the weekend league. To keep things interesting, the daily tournaments will feature unique entry requirements as well as different rewards. The daily knockout tournaments will run Monday through Thursday, with the Weekend League running across Friday, Saturday and Sunday and you only need to win one of the daily tournaments across the week to earn entry at the weekend.

The long and short of it is you try to win as many games as you can with a maximum of 40 playable games each weekend and you get better rewards the more games you win. However, one of the most interesting aspects of FUT Champions culminated in the first weekend league closing last night, where social media was awash with commentary, final standings, opinions and images of broken controllers and furniture a plenty which certainly made for interesting viewing if you’re a neutral.

So as you can see, it wasn’t going all that well for some of YouTube and Twitch’s finest, but there were some success stories to be found among FIFA’s pro gamer population, for which FUT Champions is in essence the ultimate proving ground for the FIWC and other localised tournaments which pop-up throughout the year. Some truly incredible performances there, but also one with quite a few complaints too.

It’s the first time that FUT Champions provided a credible and compelling outlet for truly competitive online play in FIFA 17. And with worthwhile rewards on offer at every turn, it has significant pulling power to boot. But the big questions for me is, in the long term will FUT Champions be too damn stressful.

FIFA 17 Release: 7 Things You Should Do First

FIFA 17 is available now, here in the passage, seven things listed you should do first when FIFA 17 is released.

Begin The Journey

Some may not like The Journey, as different people have different preferences. However, this take on the concept is done so well, you owe it to yourself to at least give it a look.

Spend some time playing Skills Games

The FIFA series has always had great skills/mini games. FIFA 17 is no exception as the exercises aren’t just fun, they actually help you learn to play the game and how to execute in specific situations.

Play a match as one of the world’s best clubs

To fully appreciate some of the enhanced gameplay techniques and the high-level presentation, you need to play a match with one of the top clubs in a huge stadium. Preferably, you should match them against one of their rivals so you’ll get the intense crowd reaction and relevant commentary from Martin Tyler and Allan Smith.

Play a match with one of the world’s worst clubs

To gain a deeper comprehension for the differences between big-time football and the beautiful game on a smaller scale, you should also play a match with two of the worst clubs in a non-legendary stadium. These matches help you to appreciate events like El Clásico for the grand spectacle it is for fans and players.

Play an Ultimate Team game against the Team of the Week

Ultimate Team can be a little intimidating, but the menu system in this year’s game is a little easier to follow. There are a ton of options, but after you’ve grabbed a few reward cards and opened a couple of packs, challenge yourself by taking on the FUT Team of the Week.

Try a co-op match

The sport is all about teamwork and when you find a group of teammates who are willing to cooperate, this can be a rewarding experience.

Begin a career as a manager

Smith and Tyler deliver solid commentary that helps to pull you into the midst of the grind. Even if you’re a fan of the more quick-hitting features, playing through four or five matches and a few scouting trips might get you into a new aspect of the game.

Manchester United Seems to Have the Biggest Transfer Budget in FIFA 17

Manchester United look like they’re back to their smug best after three years in the relative wilderness. They’ve got the world’s most expensive footballer. An arrogant striker who thinks he is a God, and a manager who’s a master of the tactical dark arts.

Now the folk at Electronic Arts have underline just how bastard annoying Manchester United are, by giving them the largest transfer budget in Career Mode for FIFA 17.

Thanks to a brand new ‘leak’, we now know the transfer budgets for the Premier League’s top clubs and Jose Mourinho’s United have the most money at their disposal with a budget of £122,134,856. It’s closely followed by Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City who apparently have £100,981,872 to blow in the transfer market.

Both clubs have spent more than £150m in the transfer market this summer so it seems like they’ve been allocated the most money to play with on the game.

A list of all 20 Premier League teams’ budgets has been published.

20. Burnley £26,325,166

19. Hull £27,277,404

18. Watford 27 718 716

17. Middlesbrough £27,850,290

16. Bournemouth £28,396,952

15. Swansea £30,916,380

14. West Brom £30,916,380

13. Crystal Palace £31,597,382

Manchester United have the biggest transfer budget on FIFA 17 by far.

FIFA 17 Game

FIFA 17 is Regarded as the Best Driving Sports Games of E2 2016

If it’s quality sports games you’re after you are in for a real treat this coming year, whether that be ball, extreme or motorsports. The 2016 E3 videogames convention is jam packed with amazing looking titles that offer conclusive proof the industry has got the hang of this new-generation console malarkey.

FIFA 17 Game

From the traditional racers such as Gran Turismo Sport, to open-world online epics such as Forza Horizon 3, and proper rallying in all-new WRC6, there’s driving games catered for different tastes.

Other sports titles range from the traditional, such as Madden NFL 17 and NBA 2K17, to the unconventional, such as Ubisoft’s new extreme sports title Steep.

FIFA this year has changed things up by adding a story mode, The Journey, to give the game some added extra for action on and off the pitch. The new game from EA is hotly contested by Konami’s PES 2017, which is tipped to be the best footie game of the pair.

No details were announced for iOS and Android.

This time, Lionel Messi will not be on the FIFA 17 cover. The new FIFA 17 ambassadors are James Rodriguez, Marco Reus, Anthony Martial and Eden Hazard. They will replace the Barcelona star in the game cover. You can check all the FIFA 17 covers here.

Interior stadium animations were added to the game.

FIFA Points will carryover from FIFA 16.

Custom club covers and regional covers will be released.

Many players’ faces were (re)scanned.

FIFA 16 gamers will have access to Web App early access.

FIFA 17 will be available for free in EA’s The Vault in 2017.

EA CEO Teased Some FIFA 17 Details

EA have not officially revealed the FIFA 17 details, but FIFA 17 will take a “major leap forward in personalization, immersion and competition”, CEO Andrew Wilson has said.

Wilson teased this year’s game during EA’s Q4 earnings call last night, explaining that FIFA 17, Madden NFL 17 and NHL 17, will each take steps forward in the three areas, and confirming that they’re all due to arrive during the firm’s second quarter, which runs between July-September.

As with earlier games in the series, you should probably expect FIFA 17 to release somewhere in September. All three will likely make an appearance at EA’s Play event next month.

We expect that EA will announce FIFA 17 soon, likely kick off a cover vote and start bringing attention to the game ahead of a special event in June. A reveal date for FIFA 17 is still somewhat of a mystery, though. The first details on last year’s game were revealed on May 28, 2015, meaning you should probably expect something fairly soon.

The game will likely be shown at EA’s E3 event EA Play next month, too.

Liverpool Fc Officially Launch New 2016/17 Home Kit on FIFA 17

If you love to play as Liverpool FC on FIFA 16, then we have some good news for you. Liverpool have unveiled their new home strip for the 2016-17 season – a red and gold design which Jurgen Klopp says looks “spectacular”.

The real design has finally been unveiled after weeks of leaks and speculation. Of course, it’s also the kit which EA will put into FIFA 17 since they have the official license to use all home kits for every club for next season.

The shirt, made by company New Balance and sponsored by Standard Chartered, is entirely the club’s familiar shade of red with gold logos, and gold trim around a two-button collar. The kit, which will hopefully be worn in the Champions League next season if the Reds win next week’s Europa League final, has a yellow/gold effect trim and detail on the badge and logos.

Take a look at it close up below, which sports a new red and yellow theme with collarless design and a single button:

We are still waiting to see the new Liverpool FC 2016/17 away kit on FIFA 17, but this should be a nice heads-up for you. EA should also be putting a brand new Jurgen Klopp manager card in FIFA 17 as well which should make a lot of you happy – it’s still inexcusable that this didn’t come mid-season in FIFA 16 though.

Will the Champions Leicester City Boosts in FIFA 17?

Leicester City lifted their first Premier League Trophy on Saturday, a minor trend started on Twitter questioning Leicester City’s place in FIFA 17 game. This has raised some serious questions over EA Sports who previously had the 2015-16 Champions rated only 3.5 stars.

Before the season began, the betting odds that Leicester to win the title was around 5000/1, but the impossible happened. The fairy tale for the underdogs came true.

The team has shown real talent this season, which cannot and should not go unappreciated. The team played fair and the main men, Vardy, Mahrez and Ranieri need stats change in the video game simulation.

What can we expect from EA Sports?

Back in 2013/14 season Atletico Madrid won the La Liga title beating the top Real and Barca. In FIFA 14, the players had a substantial increase in their stats. Their main man, Costa, had a +6 stats increase in the game. Their 4 star was turned into a 5 star team.

We can expect such stats boost from the EA for Leicester City in FIFA 17. The signs are good for Leicester to get a substantial upgrade for FIFA 17. We’ll know soon enough, but expect updates to take them down a peg or two if Ranieri is correct and they are just a temporary flash in the pan.
